RICHARD MARSDEN, MD

As senior executive vice president, Dr. Marsden oversaw clinic operations, physicians and advanced practice providers in the Fargo region from 2011-2015. He had over 30 years of service to legacy Sanford organizations prior to assuming administrative duties in 2009 at the time of the merger between Sanford Health and Meritcare. He practiced neuroradiology and filled a leadership role in radiology/imaging from 1993-2009.

Dr. Marsden attended the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and received his medical degree from Texas Tech University School of Medicine. He completed a rotating internship and diagnostic radiology residency while serving in the U.S. Army at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colo. He is board certified in diagnostic radiology and was a clinical assistant professor of radiology at UND School of Medicine until his retirement.

Dr. Marsden is active at NDSU where he has served as president of the Alumni Association and a trustee of the Development Foundation with service to those organizations spanning 28 years. He and his wife, Beth, have three grown children and five grandchildren.
